Siegmund III Christoph Graf von Schrattenbach was Archbishop of Salzburg from 1753 until his death in 1771. During his reign, he initiated the construction of the Siegmund Gate through the Mönchsberg in Salzburg, Which was named after him. This tunnel brought a better opening to the city fron the west. The coat of arms on the reverse shows in the heart shield his ancestral coat of arms: in the black field a white oblique right river, in the left upper corner a golden star, in the right lower corner an upright truncated golden branch set with three golden leaves on the right.
